The goal of this course is to provide a collection of exercises for the course Introduction to Oracle Database Administration. The software background of the course is the free avaiable Oracle XE database management system. The examples presented in this module cover the basic operations in administration of an Oracle database. The exercises are structured into the following areas:

  • database installation
  • database configuration
  • account management
  • security control
  • configuration of database objects
  • PL/SQL programming
  • usage of system packages
  • network configuration;
  • data export and backup
  • performance monitoring
