About This Course

Today in case of the complexity of the IT area Engineers in Computer Science should specialize to a particular field in Informatics. The Server Administration module is dedicated for those students who tend to work principally in system administration section. By the help of this module students can acquire the configuration and management processes of most frequently used services on the most common operating systems.

The first part of the module is about the services of the Microsoft Windows Server (hereinafter referred as Windows Server) and those frequently used services which can be installed under Windows, while the second part of the module helps to acquire the same services – in the case of Linux distribution – and the typically Linux-implemented services.

Of course, in case of Windows Server the basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems is required, and in the case of RHEL the basic knowledge of Linux operating systems is required. The basics of computer networks and database management skills are also recommended for the curriculum.
